Full Physical Exam

A routine physical exam is recommended at least once each year for patients of all ages. This complete examination allows your doctor to evaluate your body from head to toe for any signs of abnormalities. We believe that a full physical exam is an essential part of maintaining your overall health and helping patients remain informed about their body's unique needs. Regular exams are important to help detect any problems as early as possible.

Your doctor will usually record your height and weight, pulse, body temperature and blood pressure, and also examine your:

  • Skin
  • Head
  • Eyes
  • Ears
  • Nose and sinuses
  • Mouth
  • Neck
  • Back
  • Breasts and armpits
  • Abdomen
  • Rectum and anus
  • Reproductive organs
  • Leg

In addition to a full body examination, a physical exam also includes comprehensive testing services to evaluate the function and health of your internal organs. These tests can help detect a wide range of conditions and also determine your risk factors for lung disease or blood abnormalities. Your doctor will also evaluate your medical history for any warning signs of certain conditions.

The results of your physical exam will be presented to you in a comprehensive report, and can be discussed with your doctor to address any issues or answer any questions you may have.
